I drive success by investing in the people behind it.

About me

Over the last two decades, spanning aerospace systems in France to leadership roles at Alexa, Paytronix, and Best Buy Health, I’ve scaled engineering organizations, modernized legacy operations, and challenged the status quo to help companies move faster and build better.

Though I built my career on the front lines of delivery, my daily focus is on technical strategy and organizational alignment. I build engineering cultures that are supportive but demanding: where senior leaders are empowered, junior talent is actively mentored, and turnover stays consistently low. By partnering closely with Product, Design, and executive stakeholders, I translate complex business goals into resilient, scalable platforms that run efficiently and deliver real ROI.

Above all, I turn strategic vision into delivered products. I champion right-sized processes, navigate the hard trade-offs that protect both velocity and innovation, and ensure my teams have the clarity and autonomy they need to stay engaged and successful from kickoff to deployment.

Ultimately, my career is driven by a desire to take on complex leadership challenges and ambitious goals. My focus remains on doing what I do best: growing exceptional teams, solving organizational friction, and guiding high-impact projects to a successful finish.

Applied projects

A curated set of things I've built for the love of the craft: hardware and software, nights and weekends.

Selected builds

Generative AI Receipt Analyzer

Transforms messy grocery receipts into clean, actionable data. Using generative AI to process OCR results, the app categorizes and normalizes purchase histories so users can effortlessly track spending, analyze dietary trends, and leverage nutritional insights to consume smarter.

React Next.js TypeScript Azure Cosmos DB Azure Document Intelligence Generative AI

Canine Behavior Analytics System

A wearable that reads a dog's day. Custom embedded hardware with precise IMU sensors captures movement continuously, and back-end processing separates active play from rest and other behaviors, turning raw micro-movements into real insight on a dog's health, exercise, and well-being. It also balances calories burned against calories consumed, so owners can keep their dog fit and healthy.

nRF52840 Sense Embedded C React Next.js TypeScript

Web-Controlled 8×8 Pixel Art Display

A custom 8×8 LED matrix, driven by an ESP microcontroller, that you design, push, and cycle in real time straight from the browser. The front end is deliberately plain JavaScript and HTML, a technical constraint so the whole thing drops in as a plugin for MagicMirror. It serves no practical purpose whatsoever. It was simply a joy to build from scratch, and even better to watch light up the room with custom holiday animations.

ESP32 Embedded C JavaScript HTML MagicMirror

Smart Office Meeting Status Indicator

A door-mounted "busy" light for a shared home, born during the pandemic. An ESP32 on a custom PCB pairs with macOS scripts that watch microphone and camera activity, flipping the sign automatically the moment a meeting starts. Frictionless etiquette for a house full of people.
